Study Group: SHRM-CP/SCP Certification Study Group

Completing the program benefits both you and your organization, by increasing your HR knowledge, improving your efficiency and developing your job skills. Furthering your education will boost your confidence and expand your outlook on the HR field, opening you up to new opportunities.

Our courses are offered two times a year in the Spring and Fall. 


PLEASE NOTE:

Attending the Certification Preparation Class does not register you for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exams.  You must contact SHRM directly to register for the tests. Before registering for the Study Group, please read the eligibility guidelines carefully to make sure that you are eligible to sit for either exam. Please keep in mind that these sessions are meant to enhance the study and preparation needed by participants and not meant to provide all-inclusive preparation for the exams or guarantee a passing grade. However, CincySHRM wishes to provide a worthwhile and effective learning experience through the Study Group to enhance your preparation. Therefore, if following the 2nd session you find you are not completely satisfied, you may request a partial refund of the registration fee (the total registration fee less the cost of the study materials provided) prior to the 3rd session meeting. This request will need to be made, in writing, to the Cincy SHRM office.

Scholarship

Financial Assistance is available. The SHRM Foundation offers a $750 scholarship to SHRM members pursuing a college degree or professional certification. Go to www.shrm.org/foundation to learn more about this program and how to apply.

Study Course Facilitators

All of the instructors are SHRM certified HR professionals who have expertise within the functional area that they facilitate.

The Study Course provides content review, sample questions, and the opportunity to work with other HR professionals in your studies. The Study Course is not meant to provide an all-inclusive preparation for the SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP exam or guarantee a passing grade. However, Cincy SHRM wishes to provide a valuable and effective learning experience through the Study Course to enhance your preparation.

Format

In order to make the Study Course a more effective, practical, and interactive experience, the format of the weekly sessions include content-driven Power Point presentations, discussions and post-test assessments.
